		<description>sir,

"you are going to hurt alexander soul , if you mention the term exercise.
Since, it may lead to muscular doing for the beginner.
The wonderful tool stimulus is there for non doing the bad habit.
What is the need for exercises?
Exercises dont fix the bad habits.
Thank you.
Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,

Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it.
A definition of exercise is "An act of employing or putting into play." We're employing awareness, inhibition, and direction. Pretty simple, right? What hurts MY soul is the hundreds of thousands of people going through back and neck surgeries in the US alone, because they have never heard of the Alexander Technique, or because of faulty understandings of 'non-doing'. The jargon is hurting people and their families. What hurts my soul is unnecessary pain. But all we AT teachers care about is our precious Technique. I speak English. English that is spoken in New York City in 2011, not London in 1910. I use language to communicate, so I want people to understand me. Weird, right? I am almost alone in my view that the AT's job is to HELP PEOPLE. I appreciate your comment, and, you are in the majority!

Best,
